Our days at Penrose seem to be in the dim and distance past but we do remember David as being quite a character who was quite mischievous. He was often found having a chuckle to himself, he definitely had a twinkle in his eye. He was quite a talkative soul who would zoom into anyone on the playground and start regaling them with with his favourite subject which was space and the planets. He would astound with his knowledge. Even visitors couldn’t escape!
As a school we were always so grateful and very much appreciated Peter and Madeleine for their generosity, support and time they gave. We did appreciate being so valued and we in turn looked to them as great friends.
We had the pleasure of meeting David and Madeleine again last Nov. They were both instantly recognisable although David was a little rounder with whitish hair but he was still the same David. We were easily transported back to the Penrose days. We will always remember David and his parents with great affection.
